Our story

TO UNDERSTAND GLENROSE
IS TO UNDERSTAND OUR HISTORY

Journey with us.

THIS IS A 40 YEAR STORY
ABOUT A PLUMBING COMPANY

1945

Let’s Go Back In Time

Before Glenrose Service was founded, Mike Collett was known for being a selfless family member. He left home in 17 to join the Navy.

1987

The Birth of Glenrose

On the corner of 37th and Glenrose was our first ever shop, in the backyard of Mike Collett’s home. With his daughter, Heather, and her siblings helping out to earn a quarter for cleaning up.

At the front of their shop was the largest tree in the Glenrose prairee. Mike’s first logo for Glenrose included a tree as omage to the first office in his backyard.

VALUES LEARNED SO FAR

Here’s what we’ve carried so far from the journey.
Selfless service changes lives
Learned from Mike’s early story. We believe selfless service changes us at our core in great ways. From customs, to the team, suppliers and partners.
Family values carry out to our customers and team
Some may say, “we’re all family here”, but we mean it through our behavior. We take care of our team, and we care deeply for our customers homes & businesses.

MEET HEATHER & BRUCE
THE STORY CONTINUES

1994

Bruce Joins Glenrose

After years of working in commercial construction, Bruce knew that he was ready to move forward in serving a community.

Excited about the next step in his life, he joins Glenrose as a service worker and slowly writes another story.

The story of how he fell in love with the owner Mike’s daughter, Heather Collett.

2011-14

The Married Heather & Bruce Purchase Glenrose From Mike, Heather’s Father

During the purchase, Bruce stayed optimistic, while Heather felt the deep responsibility of carrying forward her father’s legacy—a legacy built on kindness, integrity, and genuine selfless care for others.

The decision wasn’t about finances; it was about protecting the heart of what Mike had created.

Behind their Post Falls office purchased in 2014 stands a single tall tree, just like the one that grew beside the first Glenrose Plumbing shop in her childhood backyard—a quiet symbol of her father’s heart and the enduring roots of their family’s work.

THE VALUES THEY ADDED ON

Here’s what we’ve carried so far from the journey.
Honoring the 40 year legacy in the community
Not many businesses get to stick around this long, or be passed down to children. Heather understands the importance of maintaining the vision her father set.
Quality is a behavior, not a buzzword
From the products we use to the level of care we take. We believe quality is at the center. And accessibility to that matters. When we say we believe in quality, we mean it.

Today

Honoring Our Legacy, Reframing The Future of Local Business & Community

It’s been a long journey, and for most they stop when they reach this point.

You might have seen a Glenrose truck around here, and noticed we’ve been updating our branding. For a moment, we slipped into being challenged by the ever changing Inland-Northwest.

It’s different here, and we know that. Now more than ever, community driven businesses & local businesses are crucial to maintaining the heart of this area.

We’re just a plumbing company, who cares for serving our community.
Serving you since 1987, we’re not goin’ anywhere
